Danger is an open door, the fool rushes through,
No thought to what comes next, unable to undo
Those deeds that brought him there, no place to go,
Or mommy on the porch, to say to him, "No, no!"

Adventure is the lure, excitement to pursue,
To push the envelope 'til danger does ensue;
Chancing all for the thrill, searching for a high,
Euphoria's the risk, the forfeit is to die.

Pleasure, in principle, will activate us all,
The age of hard work, high honor or duty's call
Before ones enjoyment is passe! In its stead,
The feel-good society seeks its apex in bed.

Power's a good thing, though corruption's Holy See,
The means by which changes, rapidly come to be,
The method behind Good, sustaining all its gains,
The product of Purpose designing lofty aims.
