The Seed Psalm

I am a seed unlike my brothers
In any way, save one, I speak!
If given the choice I'd be like others,
Mute, just one of many not given
Communion skills designed unique.
Suspect, outcast genera shriven,
A fatal infamy few would seek,
But all despise to feel coerced,
Compelled to tell, to be the first
To let man feel, to know the mother's
Breast of warmest earth, the driven,
Desire to die that life might burst,
Renew my name and multiply,
The grave, defame and death defy.
Converse that I to live must die,
But those who won't will rot! We'd save
What is most dear to us, we try,
But life cannot! So speaks one seed
Which yearns the time its welcomed grave
Will fruit the future sons I'll feed
With food my case supplies, to pave
The way till from her burgeoned breast
There flows from earth's rebirthing test
A field of green saluting sky,
Grasses growing with welcomed greed,
Abundant verdure at this behest,
Renew my name and multiply,
The grave, defame and death defy.
